Today, the Federal regulators turned back the policy permitting seller-funded downpayment assistance on FHA loans. There's no report yet as to what caused the reversal, and they haven't seemed to say anything about revising the current practice, instead of doing away with it wholesale. In the current climate, it looks like sweeping changes are the norm.

We're getting more applications, as an industry, since the interest rates started falling. 3% across the board last week. We had a 4.5% rise a week before that. A lot more refinance applications are coming in because of this - again 52.4% this past week from 52% the week before (again, industry-wide).
